Imparting Knowledge and Awareness of SGBV to the Community
Activities:
- Presentation of Radio Talk Shows on SGBV in Kiswahili and local languages- highlighting its impact on the victims and legal consequences on perpetrators.
- Hold public barazas to highlight the SGBV scourge and get community involvement and support.
- Identify, train and support anti-SGBV ambassadors and champions at the grassroots level.
- Mount workshops and seminars on SGBV-related issues in each of the nine Sub-Counties in Bungoma.
- Re-tooling and re-training CBO Staff to handle emerging challenges, including corruption, nepotism and socio-cultural norms, which go against efforts to eradicate poverty
Socio-economic Interventions against the threat of SGBV
Activities:

- Organize survivors into groups in order to access Inua Jamii, Hustler Fund, Youth Fund and related financial inclusion initiatives.
- Tree-planting both as an IGA and as mitigation against climate change
- Organize target groups and link them to institutions that provide socio-economic support and training for self-reliance.
- Farming: Rearing of goats for milk, cows, pigs and chicken.
Rescue and Protection of victims of SGBV.
Activities:
- Collaborate with authorities and law-enforcement to reach out and rescue victims/ survivors and potential victims.
- Provide a secure safe-house where victims/ survivors can be fed, nursed, counseled, protected and rehabilitated.
- Through partnerships, provide post-SGBV counseling to victims/ survivors.
- Training of care-givers
Post – SGBV Social, Medical and Legal Interventions
Activities:
- Collaboration with law-enforcement agencies for arrest and prosecutorial support
- Provide post-SGBV counseling and medical support.
- Identify and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to offer reproductive health services to victims / survivors, to provide post-exposure HIV interventions.
- Provide, through partnerships, formal education and technical training to boys and girls who are victims / survivors of SGBV for self-reliance.
